Sijo-Inspired Art Exhibition

This exhibition presents Sijo-Inspired Artworks, inspired by prize-winning sijo from the Sejong Writing Competition, organized by the Sejong Cultural Society. Students from William Howard Taft High School in Chicago read and interpreted sijo—Korea’s traditional poetic form with nearly a thousand years of history—and reimagined them as contemporary visual artworks. Through education, creative programs, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the Sejong Cultural Society works to introduce sijo as part of literary and arts education in the United States. ‘Intrinsic School’ Field Trip

인트린직 고등학교 필드트립 Dec. 3, 2025 Intrinsic High School students and their teachers visited the KCCoC for a field trip. At BISCO Hall, they tried on hanbok and various traditional hats and headpieces. They toured the museum’s Korean contemporary ceramics exhibition and explored the hanbok exhibition in the gallery. The field trip concluded with traditional calligraphy experience and hands-on activities featuring Korean traditional games. 인트린직 고등학교 학생들과 지도교사들이 문화원을 견학하였다. 비스코홀에서 한복 체험을 하고, 박물관의 세라믹 전시와 갤러리의 한복 전시를 관람하고 붓글씨쓰기 및 한국 전통놀이도 체험하였다.
