‘시카고 순교자 천주교회 한국학교’ 문화회관 견학 Oct. 29, 2022 ‘Korean Martyrs Catholic Church Korean School’ visited the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago for a field trip for their student. Students and their teacher toured the KCCoC Museum and Gallery and interacted with the Korean culture. 시카고 순교자 천주교회 한국학교 (Korean Martyrs Catholic Church Korean School) (교장 표혜진)에서 시카고한인문화회관을 방문하였다. 문화회관 부대시설 및 부산정, 돌하루방 등이 있는 정원을 둘러보고, 갤러리에서 열리고 있는 서예전을 관람한 후, 박물관과 말모이 상자 관람, 전통혼례 의상과 한복을 체험하며 한국 문화를 접하는 시간을 가졌다.

Students and their teacher toured the KCCoC Museum and Gallery and interacted with the Korean culture. 미조리 소재 ‘한국학교’에서 시카고한인문화회관을 방문하였다. 학생과 교사들이 참석하여 문화회관 박물관과 갤러리를 견학하며 한국 문화를 접하는 시간을 가졌다.
Korean Cultural Center of Chicago’s Youth Leadership & Volunteer Group, Junior Ambassadors participated in the ‘Cultural Fair’ hosted by the village of Northbrook providing variety of Korean craft programs such traditional paper hat making, ddaji making and coloring to the attendees. 지난 2월 25일 일요일 오후 3시부터 North Suburban YMCA에서 열린 노스브룩 시 주최 ‘Cultural Fair’ 행사에 문화회관 청소년 리더쉽 & 봉사 그룹 ‘주니어 엠버서더’가 참여하였다. 한국 전통 고깔모자 만들기, 딱지 만들기, 색칠하기 등의 크래프트 프로그램을 진행하였다.

시카고한인문화회관 (이하 문화회관)이 지난 2월 10일, 토요일에 아주 특별한 설 잔치를 마쳤다. 문화회관과 파트너 쉽을 가지고 있는 시카고 심포니 오케스트라에서 있었던 조성진과 시카고 심포니 협연에 앞서, 연주회의 사전행사로 오케스트라 센터 내 그레인저 홀에서 오후 6시부터 7시까지 설 행사가 열렸다. 행사는 정우성 대금 연주자의 축하 연주로 시작하여 차례 지내기 시연을 한 후, 세배하는 법도 알려주었다. 차례지내기는 실제 차례상 차림을 준비하고, 문화회관 김윤태 회장과 윤영식 이사가 차례를 이끌고, 문화회관 청소년 리더쉽 & 봉사그룹인 주니어 엠버서더들이 하여 참여하여 온 가족이 설날 아침에 차례를 지내는 풍경을 재연하였다. 또한 즉석에서 희망자에 한하여 차례지내기와 세배 체험을 해보게 하였는데, 특히 강정희 문화회관 이사장은 미리 세뱃돈을 준비하여 명절...

한인 차세대 입양인 구술채록 이 프로젝트는 대한민국 재외동포청의 지원금으로 제작되었다. 차세대 한인입양동포들의 구술 채록을 통하여 잊혀지기 쉬운 그들의 삶을 되돌아보며, 특히 그 과정을 통하여 한국인으로서의 정체성을 인식하고 민족적 유대감을 형성하여 그들의 삶을 역사의 기록으로 남기는 것을 목적으로 한다. Public Access시카고한인문화회관 유튜브 채널에 Korean Adoptee Oral History Section에서 시청이 가능하며, PastPerfect – Online Museum Software를 사용하여 Public Access도 가능하다. 또한 PastPerfect 의 Public Access를 통하여 시카고한인문화회관의 웹사이트에 연계하여 박물관 소장품 및 Oral History Collection을 모두 볼수 있도록 하였다.
