미시간 루스 머도치 학교 필드트립 Mar. 13 Ruth Murdoch Elementary School students visited the KCCoC for a field trip and explored the ‘Symbolism’, a museum exhibition and the Arrirang Education Box. Students took the opportunity to try on hanbok and different types of hats and head pieces. Field trip concluded with traditional calligraphy and variety of K-games. 미시간 소재 초등학교 학생들과 교장 선생님 및 지도교사들이 문화원을 견학하였다. 비스코홀에서 한복 체험을 하고, 박물관의 심볼리즘 전시와 아리랑 교육박스를 관람하고 붓글씨쓰기 및 한국 전통놀이도 체험하였다.

Korean-American Stories: Building Bridges and Breaking Barriers

The “Korean-American Stories: Building Bridges and Breaking Barriers”, co-hosted by the Korean School Association of Midwest and Korean performing Art Institute of Chicago, will be held at KCCoC BISCO Hall. They explored the ‘Symbolism’, a museum exhibition and the galley exhibition. Northbrook ‘Cultural Fair’

노스브룩 시 문화축제 Feb. 23 Korean Cultural Center of Chicago participated in the ‘Cultural Fair’ hosted by the village of Northbrook providing variety of Korean traditional games such as Ddakji, Jegi, Paengi, Gonggi. The KCCoC has been participating in this event for the third consecutive year, starting from 2023, sharing Korean culture and enjoying time with the local community.   문화회관이 노스브룩 시가 주최한 ‘Cultural Fair’ 행사에 참여하여 팽이 만들기, 공기놀이, 제기차기 등의 한국전통 놀이 프로그램을 진행하였다. 문화원은 2023년부터 올해까지 3년째 해당 행사에 참여하여 한국의 문화를 알리고 지역 사회와 함께 즐기는 시간을 가져오고 있다.

Seol, Lunar New Year Celebration

The 2025 Lunar New Year event hosted by the Korean American Cultural Center of Chicago was held successfully last Saturday at the Cultural Center’s BISCO Hall. The event began with the lively Soribit’s “Sangmo Pangut” performance, followed by the Chicago Korean Dance Company’s performances of “Seollal Morning” and “Gyeonggo”. After welcoming remarks by Vice Chair Kim Yoon-tae and congratulatory words from Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas, the event moved into traditional Korean games that the whole family could enjoy.
