The Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, Korea Visit KCCoC

동대문 구청장 문화원 방문 The Mayor of Dongdaemun District in Korea, along with five other officials, visited the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago (KCCoC) and held a meeting to explore potential collaborative projects. This meeting was organized as part of Dongdaemun District’s efforts to seek new directions for development in the areas of culture, tourism, and public libraries. As part of this initiative, the delegation selected the KCCoC as a model case among overseas institutions. 태프트 고등학교 필드트립 Jun. 3 Taft High School students visited the KCCoC for a field trip and took the opportunity to try on hanbok and different types of hats and head pieces at BISCO Hall. They explored the ‘Symbolism’, a museum exhibition and the Pachappa Camp exhibition. Field trip concluded with traditional Korean calligraphy to write their Korean names. 태프트 고등학교 학생들과 지도교사들이 문화원을 견학하였다. 비스코홀에서 한복 체험을 하고, 박물관의 심볼리즘 전시와 파차파 전시를 관람하고 붓글씨로 본인들의 한글 이름쓰기를 하였다.
