Hangawi Celebration
September 18, 2021 On Saturday, September 18, the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago held a Korean national holiday ‘Hangawi’ event, where more than 120 pre-registered attendees, including, the next generation Koreans, families of local community, and adoptive families enjoyed the Korean holiday culture. The event was promoted through the Chicago Cultural Alliance’s Journey Through Chicago campaign, and DuPage College’s Korean Professor attended with students as well. Event started with a video of a folk tale showing our Chuseok culture in an easy-to-understand storytelling.
