김주성의 회화 마음속에 이는 바람, 삶에 부는 바람 “Rising wind in the mind, blowing wind in life” 고충환(Kho, Chung-Hwan 미술평론, Art Critic) 바람이분다. 바람자체는형태도색깔도냄새도없는것이어서언뜻그실체를알기가어렵다. 하지만우리는바람이있음을안다. 그렇다면그실체는언제어떻게알수가있는가. 바람자체보다는바람이실어오는어떤것, 바람에부수되는어떤것에의해서비로소그실체를감지할수가있다. 이를테면파르르떠는문풍지나일렁이면서수런거리는나뭇잎, 텁텁하고습한공기나갯벌내음같은. 작가의마음에도바람이인다. 그바람은무엇을실어오는가. 마음속에서부는바람이자연속에서부는바람과같을수는없는일이며, 같은것을실어올수는없는일이다. 그렇다면다시, 그바람은무엇을실어오는가. 마음속에차곡차곡쟁여진응어리며상처(멍울)를실어오고, 의지가지없는낯선땅에서맞닥트리는소외며이방인의식(이민자의생존)을실어오고, 세계에맞서는자기보호본능(방어기제)을실어오고, 이모든투쟁, 이를테면세상과의그리고자기자신과의그리고무엇보다도그림과의투쟁을낱낱이알고있을영혼(영혼의결과물)을실어온다. 그래서주제가마음에이는바람이다. 그자체로는형태도색깔도냄새도없는마음속에서부는바람을그린것이고, 대개는폭풍우며폭풍사이사이로이따금씩불어오는미풍을그린그림이다. 그렇게 마음속에서 불고 그림 속에서 부는 바람은 시인 백석의 <흰 바람벽이...
