The Mayor of Dongdaemun District in Korea, along with five other officials, visited the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago (KCCoC) and held a meeting to explore potential collaborative projects.

This meeting was organized as part of Dongdaemun District’s efforts to seek new directions for development in the areas of culture, tourism, and public libraries. As part of this initiative, the delegation selected the KCCoC as a model case among overseas institutions.

During the visit, the KCCoC introduced its various programs aimed at promoting Korean culture, and showcased its cultural facilities including the gallery, museum, and library. The delegation was also given a tour of Bisco Hall, the Center’s multipurpose event space.

한국 동대문 구청장 등 관계자들이 문화원을 방문하여 연계 사업 모색을 위한 간담회를 가졌다. 이번 간담회는 동대문구 측의 문화, 관광, 공공도서관 분야의 발전 방향을 모색하기 위한 목적으로 기획되었으며, 그 일환으로 해외 기관의 모범사례로 시카고한인문화원을 방문하게 되었다. 문화원은 한국문화 확산을 위한 프로그램들 및 갤러리, 박물관, 도서관 등 문화 공간 운영 사례 등을 소개하고, 다목적 이벤트 홀인 비스코홀을 안내하였다.
