On March 27, 25 Korean class students and Korean teacher Seo Yong-Kwon visited the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago. They toured the Cultural Center Museum and showed a lot of interest in Korean traditional goods and later took time to try on hanbok, calligraphy and K-pop dance. Kay Kim, director of the Cultural Center said, “I was able to realize the popularity of K-pop by watching the explosive response of students who learned K-pop dance in accordance with the instructor, Amy Shin (a senior at Loyola University).

지난 3월 27일 미시간 주 베리언 스프링스 공립 중고등학교(Berrien Springs Public Schools) 한국어반 학생 25명과 한국어 담당교사 서용권 (Henry Seo)씨가 시카고 한인 문화회관을 찾았다. 그들은 문화회관 박물관을 둘러보며 전통유물에 관심을 보였고 이후 한복 입어보기 체험, 서예, K-pop Dance를 배워보는 시간을 가졌다. 특히 신 에이미(로욜라대 3학년)의 안무지도 에 따라 케이팝 댄스를 배웠던 학생들의 폭발적인 호응을 보면서 한국 케이팝의 인기를 실감할 수 있었다.
