KCCoC Gallery Invitational Exhibition

This exhibition features the work of Korean American artists in Chicago who explore the complexities of dual cultural identities. Through symbolic representations-ranging from traditional Korean motifs to contemporary reinterpretations and American cultural icons-these artists convey personal narratives of heritage, identity, alienation, and belonging. Across diverse media, the artworks invite viewers to reflect on how symbols serve as conduits for navigating the challenges and nuances of living between two cultures.

 

문화원 초대전으로 열리는 이번 전시는 시카고 지역에서 활동하는 한국계 미국인 예술가들의 작품전으로 이중 문화 정체성을 탐구한 작품들로 구성되었습니다. 전통 한국 모티프, 현대적 재해석, 미국 문화 아이콘을 통해 예술가들은 유산과 정체성, 소외감과 소속감을 표현합니다. 다양한 매체로 제작된 이 작품들은 두 문화 사이의 복잡한 경험을 상징적으로 보여줍니다.
