시카고한인문화원 2026 설잔치 성료

The Korean Cultural Center of Chicago (KCCoC) hosted a vibrant Lunar New Year celebration at BISCO Hall, bringing together approximately 180 attendees and volunteers for a festive day of cultural exchange and family-friendly activities.

Inspired by the Netflix animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters, the event blended contemporary K-pop culture with traditional Korean heritage. The celebration opened with an energetic K-pop dance performance to “Golden,” the Grammy Award–winning hit that has recently gained international acclaim. Participants were also invited to learn and perform the choreography themselves, adding an interactive element to the program.

Families enjoyed a variety of hands-on cultural activities, including crafting traditional Korean hats (gat), creating artwork inspired by magpies and tigers, wearing hanbok, and learning how to perform the traditional New Year’s bow (sebae). Guests welcomed the New Year with warm tteokguk (rice cake soup) and sampled festive dishes such as vegetable pancakes and sujeonggwa (sweet cinnamon punch). Traditional Korean games further enriched the celebration. The event successfully created a joyful space where tradition and modern culture met, offering the community a meaningful and immersive Lunar New Year experience.

시카고한인문화원(이하 문화원)과 함께하는 설맞이 행사가 BISCO Hall에서 성황리에 개최되었다. 이번 행사는 넷플릭스 애니메이션 K-Pop Demon Hunters를 테마로 기획되어, 전통과 현대 K-팝 문화를 아우르는 다채로운 프로그램으로 꾸며졌다.

이날 행사에는 약 180여 명의 참석자와 자원봉사자들이 함께해 한국의 대표적인 민속 명절인 설을 기념하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다. 행사는 최근 그래미상을 수상하며 화제를 모은 ‘Golden’의 K-팝 댄스 공연으로 활기차게 막을 올렸다. 이어 참가자들이 직접 안무를 배워보는 체험 프로그램이 진행되어 큰 호응을 얻었다.

또한 참가자들은 한국 전통 모자인 갓 만들기, 까치와 호랑이를 주제로 한 미술 활동, 한복 체험과 세배 배우기 등 다양한 전통 문화 프로그램에 참여했다. 행사장에서는 따뜻한 떡국으로 새해를 맞이하고, 야채전과 수정과 등 설 음식을 나누며 명절의 정취를 더했다. 더불어 전통 놀이 체험도 마련되어 세대와 문화를 넘어 모두가 함께 어우러지는 축제의 장이 되었다. 이번 행사는 한국 전통문화의 의미를 되새기면서도 현대적 감각을 더해, 지역사회 가족들이 함께 즐기는 특별한 문화 교류의 시간이 되었다.

한복 또는 K-POP 데몬 헌터스 의상을 착용한 참가자에게는 소정의 기념품이 증정되었으며, 이 행사는 시카고 한국교육원과 한국관광공사, 농심 아메리카가 후원하고, 시카고 엄마화실, 문화원 주니어 엠서버더가 게임 스테이션을 운영하였다.
