The Korean Cultural Center of Chicago (KCCoC) held a successful fundraising golf tournament at Crane’s Landing Golf Club in Lincolnshire, despite the sweltering heat approaching 100°F. The event drew 90 participants and raised significant funds through donations and hole sponsorships. Proceeds from the tournament will support the Center’s mission to promote and advance Korean culture and the arts.

Following the tournament, a dinner and awards ceremony took place at the KCCoC’s BISCO Hall. The KCCoC extends its sincere appreciation to Tournament Chair Kee Nam Chang, organizing committee members Young Sik Yoon, Wonja Yook, and Byoung Suk Kim, as well as all the dedicated volunteers. Special thanks also go to all participants whose generous support made the event a meaningful success.

시카고한인문화원이 기금모금 골프대회를 7월 23일, 수요일에 링컨샤이어 소재 Crane’s Landing 골프장에서 100도에 육박하는 무더운 날씨에도 불구하고 성황리에 마쳤다. 90명이 참여한 이날 대회에서 도네이션과 홀 스폰서 등으로 후원한 기금을 마련하여 한국 문화와 예술을 선도적으로 이끌어 가기 위해 사용할 계획이다.

경기가 끝난 뒤에는 문화원 비스코 홀에서 저녁식사 및 시상식이 열렸다. 이번 대회를 위해 수고해 주신 장기남 준비위원장과 윤영식, 김병석, 육원자 준비위원들과 자원봉사자들은 물론, 문화원을 위해 소중한 마음으로 대회에 참가해 주신 모든 분들께 감사의 말씀을 전한다.
