On May 20, a scholarship ceremony was held at the Gallery of Korean Cultural Center, sponsored by artists from SAIC and Korean Cultural Center of Chicago. Currently, Korean artists (Inhye Lee, David Huh, Hyeri Won and Yeji Min) selected two art-talented Korean high school students (Lee, Ga-Eun and Han, Hyo-ri) and presented them with a scholarship with Korean Cultural Center. Artists raised funds on May 12 through a pop art show at the Chicago Council Space. Lee, Ga-eun is currently in the ninth grade of Stevenson High School, and Han, Hyo-ri is in the 11th grade of New Trier High School. Korean Cultural Center of Chicago appreciates the young artists’ efforts and will sponsor them in many ways. As an example, paintings by SAIC students will be exhibited at the gallery of the Korean Cultural Center in July.

2019년 5월 20일 AIC 출신 미술가들과 시카고 한인문화회관이 후원한 장학금 수여식이 한인문화회관 갤러리에서 열렸다. 현재 SAIC (School of the Art institute of Chicago) 졸업자 및 재학생 한인미술가 (이인혜, 데이빗 허, 원혜리, 민예지)는 지난 5월 12일 시카고 Congruent Space에서 팝아트 쇼를 통해 모금한 금액을 미술에 재능 있는 한인 고등학생 두 명(이가은, 한효리)을 선별하여 한인문화회관과 함께 장학금으로 수여했다. 이가은 학생은 현재 Stevenson High School 9학년, 한효리 학생은 New Trier High School 11학년에 재학중이다. 시카고 한인 문화회관에서는 이들 젊은 예술가의 취지를 높이 평가하여 다방면으로 후원할 것이며 오는7월 SAIC 학생들의 작품을 문화회관 갤러리에서 전시할 예정이다.
