Korean traditional folk painting, Minhwa special class took place on Chuseok day (Korean Traditional Thanksgiving Day) October 1 and October 8. Total of 10 people attended Minhwa “Lotus flower” class that was held by KCCoC art instructor and museum director, Sujin Lee. All of the completed work of the lotus flower is on display at the gallery entrance where the Minhwa exhibition is currently taking place.

문화회관은 갤러리에서 열리고 있는 민화 특별전 전시를 기점으로 민화 클래스를 열어서 시카고에 민화를 보급하고 활성화 시킬 예정이다. 새로 오신 이수진 갤러리 디렉터님께서 추석날인 10월 1일 (목)과 그 다음주 8일 (목) 2회에 걸쳐 민화특강을 열어주셔서 10여명의 수강생들이 연꽃을 그리고 채색하여 한국 전통 민화기법을 배워보는 시간을 갖었다.
